Senior RF Systems Specialist

You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and optimization of RF systems and components for various applications. The ideal candidate shall have a strong background in RF engineering principles, with expertise in RF circuit design, testing, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities - Design, simulate, and optimize RF circuits and systems for wireless communication, satellite, or other RF applications. - Develop RF hardware solutions, including RF amplifiers, filters, mixers, oscillators, antennas, and other RF components. - Perform RF testing and characterization of components and systems, including gain, noise figure, linearity, impedance matching, and other RF parameters. - Use RF simulation tools and electromagnetic modeling software (e.g., ADS, HFSS, CST) to analyze and optimize RF designs. - Conduct design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and technical discussions to drive innovation and problem-solving in RF design projects. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software engineers, and product managers to define project requirements, specifications, and deliverables. - Develop test plans, procedures, and documentation for RF testing and validation of prototypes and production units. - Troubleshoot and debug RF hardware and system issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. - Stay current with advancements in RF technology, industry trends, and emerging standards to ensure the competitiveness and relevance of our RF solutions. - Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external partners on RF-related issues, including customer inquiries, product integration, and field support. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. - Proven experience working in RF engineering roles, with expertise in RF circuit design, simulation, and testing. - Strong knowledge of RF principles, including microwave theory, transmission line theory, impedance matching, and RF system architecture. - Experience with RF simulation tools and electromagnetic modeling software (e.g., ADS, HFSS, CST). - Proficiency in using RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes. - Hands-on experience with PCB layout and RF design techniques, including microstrip, stripline, and RF grounding. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex RF hardware and system issues. - Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. - Experience with RF standards and protocols (e.g., GSM, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth) is a plus. - Familiarity with RF regulatory compliance and certification processes (e.g., FCC, ETSI) is desirable.
