Senior React Developer, Investment Management Solutions

In this role at our client, a global investment management leader, you will be joining a dynamic engineering team dedicated to creating and maintaining advanced web applications using a TypeScript-first approach. As a Front End Developer, you will need to align your working hours with EST and possess expertise in React and TypeScript. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and enhancing web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, contributing to architecture decisions, optimizing performance, and ensuring code quality. You will also be involved in code reviews, sprint planning, and issue resolution. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React and TypeScript. - Write clean, effective, and maintainable code with a strong grasp of JavaScript fundamentals. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive features. - Contribute to frontend architecture and partake in high-level technical decision-making. - Optimize application performance and uphold consistent code quality. - Conduct thorough code reviews and advocate for industry best practices. - Engage in sprint planning, task estimation, and technical discovery discussions. - Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve intricate frontend issues. Qualifications Required: - Extensive commercial experience with React framework. - Advanced proficiency in TypeScript as the primary development language. - Deep understanding of JavaScript fundamentals (ES6+). - Proven experience with Redux or other advanced state management principles. - Solid grasp of component-based architecture and modern frontend design patterns. - Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design techniques. - Experience integrating and collaborating with RESTful APIs. - Familiarity with Git for version control. - Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and take full responsibility for project outcomes. Nice to have skills: - Experience with frontend unit testing (e.g., Vitest). - Familiarity with end-to-end (E2E) testing frameworks like Playwright. - Knowledge of performance optimization and web accessibility standards (a11y). - General understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern build tools. - Previous exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.
