Job Description
As a Senior Program Director in the financial services domain, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating a portfolio of IT programs and projects. Your role will involve ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and technology strategy. You will oversee Program Managers and Project Managers, provide governance, drive delivery excellence, and ensure project success in terms of scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a multi-project program within insurance or financial technology domains.
- Provide direction and support to Program Managers and Project Managers.
- Establish program governance frameworks, reporting structures, and delivery standards.
- Monitor project progress, address issues, and manage risks.
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams and facilitate decision-making.
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage program-level risks, compliance, and quality assurance.
- Own program budget planning, forecasting, and resource optimization.
- Support procurement and vendor management activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field; Masters degree is a plus.
- 15+ years of experience in IT project/program management.
- 5+ years in General and/or Motor Insurance domains.
- Experience in the financial services industry is required.
- Experience managing programs delivered through Global System Integrators.
- Experience leading application modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
Technical & Domain Skills:
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies.
- Knowledge of financial systems such as insurance core systems.
Please note that the Candidate should be willing to move to Malaysia for this role, and immediate joiners are preferred.
