Job Description

As a Procurement Data Analyst, you will be responsible for working closely with business clients and advisory teams to understand analytical objectives and secure the required data. Your key responsibilities include: - Acting as a procurement data Subject Matter Expert (SME) in client conversations. - Gathering and refining client requirements. - Supporting data collection with clients and advisory teams. - Assessing data scope and validity for spend analytics / PureSpend. - Managing analytics project activities including timeline, risks, and resources. - Performing data cleansing and enrichment through transformation, loading, normalization, and categorization. - Identifying and implementing process improvements and automation opportunities. - Supporting the development and maintenance of dashboards for PureSpend and other digital modules. - Conducting user training on data analytics tools. - Collaborating closely with stakeholders to translate reporting needs into high-quality dashboards and insights. - Designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards for business and performance reporting. - Developing and optimizing SQL queries, views, and data models. - Collaborating with engineering and source system teams to ensure accurate and timely data availability. - Performing data validation and reconciliation checks. - Designing and maintaining semantic models and datasets for self-service analytics. - Creating standardized reporting templates, KPI definitions, and visualization best practices. - Supporting ad-hoc analyses and data exploration. - Identifying opportunities to automate and optimize reporting processes. - Documenting data definitions, logic, and visualization standards. - Supporting user training on dashboards and self-service reporting. - Collaborating with product, analytics, and digital teams on enhancements. - Supporting client/internal presentations and storytelling with data. Qualifications required for this role include: - 12+ years of experience with expertise in Product Management, Procurement Analytics, Power BI, and SQL. - Strong experience in data visualization and business intelligence, particularly in dashboards and reporting. - Hands-on expertise in Power BI including data modeling, DAX, and performance optimization. - Strong SQL skills including complex queries, joins, window functions, and optimization. - Understanding of star schema, fact/dimension tables, and semantic layers. - Experience working with large multi-source datasets and enterprise data platforms. - Ability to translate business needs into visualizations and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). - Strong understanding of data quality and validation practices. - Experience in gathering and refining reporting requirements with business and technical stakeholders. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple reporting requests simultaneously. - Experience in procurement, supply chain, finance, or operations analytics is a plus. - Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, and ETL/data pipelines is a plus. - Knowledge of Python or advanced analytics tools is a plus.
