Senior Networking C++ Engineer

As a senior C++ team member at Cognyte's IP network intelligence team in Pune, you will be joining a dedicated group of professionals focused on researching and reverse engineering IP communication protocols. Your role will involve designing, building, and maintaining efficient C++ code for deep packet inspection of IP traffic. Collaboration with IP teams in Israel and Bulgaria will be an integral part of your work. Key Responsibilities: - Research and reverse engineer IP communication protocols. - Design, build, and maintain efficient C++ code for deep packet inspection of IP traffic. - Work closely with architects and product owners to contribute to overall architecture and system design. - Participate in code reviews, maintain coding standards, and provide mentoring to junior colleagues. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of professional experience with C++ including working with templates, STL, and boost libraries. - B.Sc. in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field. - Strong knowledge of networking and IP protocols across all layers, including the application layer. - Experience in developing large-scale and complex system solutions. - Experience with developing networking applications is advantageous. - Familiarity with packet inspection tools is a plus. - Solution-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving. - Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Excellent proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
