Job Description
You will be working as a Cloud Managed Services Engineer at Versa Networks, Inc., a leading vendor of next-generation Software Defined solutions and architectures specializing in SASE (Secure Access Service Edge). Your role involves providing end-to-end management and technical support to debug complex networking problems reported by customers on the Versa hosted platform/solution.
**Roles and Responsibilities:**
- Monitor and take corrective actions for the hosted environment.
- Assist customers in solving reported product and network problems of varying complexity.
- Replicate customer issues in a lab environment and work with engineering teams to test possible fixes.
- Handle problems of diverse scope across all solutions from Versa.
- Manage incident/ticket lifecycle and set up infrastructure.
- Create knowledge articles and have the ability to write bash/python scripts (optional).
**Essential Skills:**
- Proficiency in ROUTING, OSPF & BGP, MPLS, L3 VPN.
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite, SFW, NGFW, and IPSec VPN/SSL-VPN/NAT/GRE.
- Hands-on experience in anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, and content filtering.
- Understanding of security logs, vulnerabilities, CVEs, threat map, and handling perimeter security, endpoint security, web, and email security.
- Familiarity with ticketing processes, Linux/Unix environments, Virtualization, and related technologies.
- Experience in managing, supporting, and deploying network infrastructures.
- Strong diagnostic abilities for server or network alerts, events, or issues.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Effective oral and written communication skills for conflict resolution and working in 24x7 rotational shifts.
**Desired Skills:**
- Configuration and troubleshooting of networks and security appliances.
- Experience in Threat Analysis, Security Incident handling, and certifications like CEH, GIAC, CCSP.
- SIEM administration for standard and Custom Log Source Onboarding of On-prem/Cloud.
