Job Description
As an experienced professional in the Engines and Generating set markets of Africa, your role will involve developing and managing business in East and Southern Africa. Your responsibilities will include:
- Market Identification & Research: Identify new international markets, trends, customers, and partnerships to expand the business and revenue streams.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans and go-to-market strategies to achieve business growth objectives and gain market share.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key international clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships and generate repeat business.
- Deal Negotiation & Closure: Negotiate and close business deals, ensuring they meet or exceed revenue targets and create mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Market Entry & Compliance: Oversee the development and execution of strategies for entering new markets and ensure compliance with global market dynamics and trade regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams (e.g., marketing, operations, R&D) to align strategies and ensure seamless execution of business plans.
- Financial Management: Achieve Monthly, Quarterly and Annual business plan. Maintain a healthy P&L by managing pricing strategies, timely order placement, and payment collection.
Qualifications Required:
- 15-20 years experience in Engines and Generating set markets of Africa.
- BE / B Tech ( Mechanical / Electrical) + MBA (Sales and Marketing) Preferred.

- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication is essential for working with international teams and clients, as are interpersonal skills for building rapport and relationships.
- Negotiation Skills: The capacity to effectively negotiate deals and close sales in complex international environments.
- Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving: A strategic mindset is needed to identify global market opportunities and develop innovative solutions for clients.
- Technical & Business Skills : Engines and Generating set product Knowledge.
- Market Research & Analysis: Proficiency in conducting thorough market analysis to find new business opportunities, understand trends, and identify target markets.
- Sales & Marketing Strategy: Expertise in developing and implementing strategic plans to drive sales growth and achieve international sales targets.
- International Logistics: Knowledge of managing the import/export process and other logistical aspects of international business.
- Networking Skills: The ability to build and leverage a global network of contacts and business associates.
