Senior Logistics Operations Manager - Remote

Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and refine comprehensive logistics strategies to support business objectives and enhance customer satisfaction. - Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. - Manage and optimize transportation routes and carrier relationships to minimize costs and delivery times. - Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations, identifying areas for improvement and driving performance. - Develop and manage budgets for logistics and warehousing operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and fiscal responsibility. - Lead and mentor a remote team of logistics coordinators, warehouse supervisors, and other supply chain professionals. - Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards within warehousing and transportation. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to align logistics operations with business needs. - Utilize advanced logistics and supply chain management software and technologies to streamline operations and improve visibility. - Continuously research and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall supply chain performance. - Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and service level agreements to ensure optimal outcomes. - Develop and execute contingency plans for potential disruptions in the supply chain. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. - Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a significant focus on warehouse operations and transportation. - Proven track record of successfully managing complex logistics operations, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment. - Strong understanding of inventory management principles, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and TMS (Transportation Management Systems). - Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a remote team. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools. - Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, adapted for virtual collaboration. - Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high productivity in a fully remote setting. - Knowledge of global logistics and international shipping regulations is a plus.
