Role Overview:
As a Senior IT Analyst Technical Infrastructure at Caterpillar Inc., you will be part of the global team responsible for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Governance. Your role will involve leading or being a member of the Software Asset Management (SAM) team to provide SAM Governance and oversight. You will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and executing asset management governance processes to enhance the EAM program. This position will require a combination of process and technical skills to achieve set goals efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your knowledge of computer hardware and software to provide expert leadership in Enterprise Asset (Software) Governance within the EAM framework.
- Develop high-level concepts and proposals for SAM Governance based on operational issues, audit, financial, and security risks.
- Collaborate with Security, VMO, Purchasing, and Asset Owners to minimize technical and business impacts of Enterprise Asset Management.
- Enhance visibility, governance, and management by developing processes or process improvements.
- Lead EAM projects supporting Operations and Segment implementation or maintenance.
- Manage the completion of your work assignments and coordinate with others effectively.
- Communicate with various stakeholders, present technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and work in a teamwork-oriented environment.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in enterprise IT environments, strong SQL and data skills, software licensing, and compliance knowledge.
- Translate technical findings into business value effectively.
Qualifications Required:
- 8-10 years of Software Asset Management experience with industry certification preferred.
- Experience in creating and maintaining Enterprise-wide Governance based on Enterprise and Industry standards.
- Knowledge of EAM dependencies between Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and SAM processes, along with Cyber Security and Financial risk management requirements.
- Familiarity with tools like SCCM/MECM, Intune, ServiceNow, Flexera agent, Flexera, ServiceNow CMDB, PowerBI, Excel, and Snowflake SQL query writing.
- Excellent communication skills and flexibility to meet business needs.
- Desired certifications include Flexera SAM or ITAM, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft, AWS, or Azure fundamentals, Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM), or IAITAM.
- Ability to work on a 5-day schedule in the office with shift timings from 01:00PM-10:00PM IST.
