Senior Engineer (Network Architecture & SASE)

As a Senior Engineer (Network Architecture & SASE) at NEC Corporation of India Ltd., your role will involve the following key responsibilities: Role Overview: You will be responsible for providing technical expertise in SASE (Zscaler / Netskope / Prisma / Cisco SSE), cloud networking & security (AWS/Azure/GCP), and enterprise networking fundamentals. Your tasks will include creating HLD/LLD, migration plans, deployment blueprints, and runbooks. Additionally, you will be involved in hands-on activities such as POCs, pilots, cutovers, interoperability testing, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities: - Strong expertise in SASE, including ZTNA, SWG, CASB, and identity integration (Okta/Azure AD). - Proficiency in cloud networking & security concepts such as VPC, TGW, VPN, Direct Connect, routing, and WAF/cloud firewalls. - Sound knowledge of enterprise networking fundamentals including routing, switching, segmentation, and SD-WAN. - Delivery of projects with documentation, requirement analysis, effort estimation, design documentation, and KT preparation. - Coordination with offshore and onsite teams, stakeholder communication, and customer workshops. - Leading small delivery pods, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring structured thinking and attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work independently in an offshore delivery model. - Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and ISO 27001, along with network and cloud hardening techniques. Qualifications Required: - 6-10 years of experience in network architecture and SASE. - Hands-on experience with SASE technologies and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). - Proficiency in routing, switching, SD-WAN, and enterprise networking fundamentals. - Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and customer-first attitude. - Understanding of security frameworks, logging, monitoring, and audit readiness practices.
