Senior Engineer - Fullstack

You will be joining REA Cyber City as an Engineer with 3-6 years of experience. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to craft solutions that enhance user experiences and drive customer satisfaction and company growth. Your responsibilities will include: - Contributing towards creating a user experience that is platform-appropriate, seamless, and centered around human needs. - Learning and adopting clean and reusable code best practices like writing clean and reusable code using TDD, pair programming, and design patterns. - Taking ownership and accountability of individual deliverables. - Contributing to the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and engineering principles. - Supporting the teams iterations, scope, capacity, risks, issues, and timelines. - Participating in technical discussions and code reviews to maintain code quality. - Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives such as automation, tooling enhancements, and process optimizations. - Working with direct leadership to understand business priorities and communicate technical options. We are looking for candidates with skills in some of the following areas: - Proven ability to handle both frontend and backend development tasks. - Proficiency in two or more development languages and frameworks covering the full stack of frontend and backend development. - Experience with relational and non-relational database solutions such as SQL Server and DynamoDB on AWS cloud. - Experience with Agile methodology and CI/CD approaches. - Good understanding of TDD, unit testing, software design patterns, and development best practices. - Good understanding of web application security practices. - Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS. - A willingness to tackle challenges with a solutions-focused approach. - Demonstrated initiative, ownership of tasks, and effective time management. - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively. Bonus points for candidates with: - Experience in Kotlin language for developing Backend APIs or interest in learning and contributing. - Experience with reliable CI/CD using Buildkite Pipelines. - Experience in using and managing Cloud infrastructure in AWS. - Experience with Infrastructure as Code techniques. - Knowledge of Octopus Deployment tool, Splunk, PagerDuty, and NewRelic platforms.
