Job Description
As an Experienced Electrical Engineer at Barry-Wehmiller, your role will involve Electrical Design, BOM release, Production, and Testing Support for various Industrial Machineries and Equipment like Printing, Packaging, Converting, Textile, and Paper machinery, and discrete product machinery. Your responsibilities will include developing electrical designs, drawings, and Bill of Materials based on customer requirements. You will also participate in concept, design, production, testing, safety, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting reviews with customers.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Experience in calculation and selection of Motors, Drives, AC Load calculations, low and medium voltage switchgear systems, cables, electrical components, field devices, and associated accessories based on design standards.
- Handling of low and medium voltage motor control systems (MCC) and industrial control and protection schemes.
- Preparation of single and three-line diagrams, panel IGA & OGA drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, design of cable trays & wireways, and P&IDs.
- Knowledge of electrical maintenance practices, materials, components, and equipment used in electrical installations.
- Familiarity with electrical safety practices and procedures, standards like UL508A, IEC, NEMA, NFPA70E, OSHA, etc.
- Experience in designing Safety Interlocks, creating symbols, macros, 3D macros, and Drilling Patterns using EPLAN / Zuken E3 / AutoCAD Electrical.
- Creating and updating functional specifications of machines, replacement of obsolete electrical parts, risk assessment, and preparing drawings and SRS documents.
- Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting would be an added advantage.
**Qualifications Required:**
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
- 6 to 12 years of experience in Industrial Machineries/Equipment and discrete product machinery.
- Experience in Printing, Packaging, and Converting Machines OEM is preferable.
**Mandatory Tool Skills:**
- EPLAN P8 or Zuken E3 (Latest version preferred).
- AutoCAD Electrical.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
