Senior Developer WSO2 API Management

As a Senior Integration and API Management Engineer at Teknikoz, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs using WSO2 API Manager. Your responsibilities will include leading API lifecycle activities, configuring and managing WSO2 API Gateway, implementing API security policies, automating API deployment, monitoring API performance, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using WSO2 API Manager (v4+ or later). - Lead API lifecycle activities: design, prototype, publish, monitor, and retire APIs. - Configure and manage WSO2 API Gateway, Publisher, and Developer Portal. - Implement API security policies including OAuth2, JWT, throttling, and CORS. - Automate API deployment using CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab. - Monitor API performance using tools like AppDynamics & Splunk. - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across distributed environments. - Work on API-first integration designs, building secure, scalable APIs using REST/SOAP standards. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical designs. - Guide junior developers and lead technical knowledge transfer sessions. - Optimize existing integrations for performance, maintainability, and error handling. - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and lead initiatives for continuous improvement. - Interface with tools like ElasticSearch, Splunk for monitoring and logging integration behavior. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline. - 8+ years of experience in integration and API Management. - Strong hands-on experience (4+ years) with WSO2 API Manager and related components. - Proficiency in RESTful API design. - Familiarity with API documentation tools like Stoplight. - Solid understanding of API security, traffic management, and analytics. - Experience with Git, Jenkins, BitBucket, JFrog.
