Job Description
As a Senior Analyst - Data Scientist, you will collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional subject matter experts to gain a deep understanding of the business context and address key business inquiries. Your responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing advanced statistical and programming skills in Python and data querying languages such as SQL, Hadoop/Hive, and Scala
- Demonstrating a solid grasp of time-series forecasting techniques
- Applying hands-on expertise in feature engineering and hyperparameter optimization
- Crafting clean, maintainable code that can be comprehended by other software engineers
- Effectively summarizing and communicating data analysis assumptions and outcomes
- Developing efficient data pipelines to transition analyses from offline to production systems
- Operating as a self-motivated problem solver, capable of working both independently and in teams
- Staying abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices
- Engaging in collaborative efforts to implement positive changes and handle complex issues
Additionally, you will contribute to various AI domains including cognitive engineering, conversational bots, and data science. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring high levels of performance, security, scalability, and maintainability in deployed solutions. Furthermore, you will provide mentorship to junior data scientists, oversee workflow processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications we are seeking for this role include:
- Master's degree in a quantitative field like Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
- 4-6 years of overall work experience in a data scientist or analytical role, with at least 2-3 years focusing on time series forecasting
- Proficiency in statistical/programming software (e.g., R, Python) and data querying languages (e.g., SQL, Hadoop/Hive, Scala)
- Strong background in Time Series Forecasting and Demand Planning
- Experience with statistical concepts, ML algorithms, and machine learning techniques
- Ability to lead and deliver business outcomes through data-driven insights
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical solutions effectively to diverse teams
Preferably, you should have experience in supply chain functions and applying AI/ML in CPG or Healthcare industries, along with exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, MLOps framework, data security, ML model implementation, and the Azure tech stack.
