Senior Accountant

Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing all bookkeeping functions, including ongoing journal entries in SAP and monthly/quarterly book closings. Your role will involve generating financial statements according to US GAAP and local GAAP standards, tracking and reporting trade funds, customer/distributor claims, and other overhead expenses. Additionally, you will oversee accounts receivable and payables, balance sheet accounts reconciliations, and monitor periodic working capital and cash flows. Ensuring compliance with internal controls associated with the financial reporting process will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also assist in preparing VAT returns, TDS returns, and Board meetings, as well as planning for the audit process and working with an external audit firm for the annual audit. Collaborating with other functions, sharing best practices, identifying gaps, leading change, and assisting in system enhancements and continuous process improvement efforts will also be part of your role. Qualifications: - CA qualification is mandatory, and CS will be preferred. - At least 5 years of relevant experience in audit, reporting, or finance controller role, preferably with accounting experience in FMCG. Big 4 experience is a plus. - Ability to lead, influence, and drive priorities at the senior level, build relationships, and collaborate across all levels/functions of the Company. - Strong understanding of accounting and compliance requirements, including in-depth and current knowledge of IND/UAE & US GAAP, revenue reporting, and recognition. - Experience with SAP is a must, PowerBI, and Hyperion/Oracle are desirable. - Attention to detail and accuracy. - Drives ownership in delivering results and fosters a culture of accountability. - Sense of urgency and adherence to deadlines.
