SAN & Network Security Specialist

As a SAN & Network Security Engineer at our company, your role will involve ensuring the reliability, security, and recoverability of our enterprise IT infrastructure. This is a hybrid position that encompasses enterprise storage (SAN/NAS), backup and disaster recovery, as well as network and endpoint security. You will be responsible for managing daily backup/restore operations, administering SAN/NAS storage, configuring firewalls, switches, and wireless APs, enforcing endpoint and network security policies, and supporting audits. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage daily backup/restore operations and offsite replication. - Administer SAN/NAS storage allocation, health, and performance. - Configure and maintain firewalls, switches, and wireless APs. - Enforce endpoint and network security policies. - Handle firewall and access control change requests. - Support internal and external audits (KPMG, Lockheed, etc.). - Provide resilience across both storage/backup and network/security domains. **Qualifications Required:** - 8+ years of experience in storage, networking, or security administration. - Expertise with Dell SAN and QNAP NAS. - SAN/NAS Management: Health monitoring, storage policies, capacity management. - Backup solutions (Veeam or equivalent) and DR planning/testing. - Network management (Fortinet firewalls, Dell switches, APs, VPNs), Switch/router configuration, carrier/vendor escalation, performance monitoring, health checks. - Endpoint/XDR security administration (SentinelOne or equivalent). - Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and compliance/audit readiness skills. In addition to the technical requirements, excellent communication skills and a strong customer-service mindset are essential for this role.
