Risk Data Science Manager Bespoke

Role Overview: As the Manager of Data Science at Visa, you will be a key member of the Central Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA) Data Science risk team. Your role will involve championing data-driven strategies within the region, focusing primarily on credit, fraud, and operational risks. You will be responsible for building predictive and prescriptive models, developing prototypes, and creating high-impact storyboards to promote data-driven solutions for Visa clients. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement best-in-class risk analytic solutions, including scoring and non-scoring models - Create powerful insights from data through visualization and storyboarding - Collaborate with Business Managers, Consultants, and Data Scientists to strategize, co-create, and deploy data-driven solutions - Work with regional and global Data Science teams to develop analytic products that drive Visa's growth in the region - Introduce cutting-edge tools and techniques for generating business insights - Process alternate data sources and develop advanced prediction algorithms - Collaborate with internal Technology partners to leverage Visa's technology platforms for client data needs - Manage workload efficiently, prioritize projects, and share best practices within the team - Socialize scalable and innovative ideas to meet market demand - Ensure compliance with Model Risk Management, Visa Analytics Rules, and Global Privacy standards Qualifications: - Minimum of 6+ years of experience in applying Machine Learning solutions to business problems - Post-graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, etc. - Expertise in Risk Management within Card and Payments industries - Strong knowledge of data analytics tools and technologies - Experience in project management and delivering results within scope, timeline, and budget - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Scala, Java, etc. - Familiarity with big data platforms, database systems, and modern technology stack - Ability to build data pipelines and work with various datatypes - Strong understanding of data mining and statistical modeling techniques - Demonstrated leadership competencies including integrity, excellence, and influencing skills (Note: The above qualifications and responsibilities are indicative and not exhaustive.
