Job Description
As the Head of Branch Banking, your role will involve leading the branch banking team in Mumbai to achieve various targets. You will define and implement branch banking strategies that align with the bank's vision and retail business objectives. Your responsibilities will include developing acquisition and engagement plans for deposits, advances, and third-party fee income, as well as driving cross-sell initiatives across asset and liability products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive branch expansion strategy, including new branch rollouts, manpower rationalization, and infrastructure readiness.
- Own the P&L for Branch Banking and ensure the achievement of revenue and profitability targets.
- Monitor branch performance, implement corrective action plans, and ensure standardization of branch processes.
- Maintain strong internal controls, fraud prevention mechanisms, and regulatory adherence in all areas of Branch Banking.
- Manage high-value and escalated customer requests, improve service quality, and minimize customer complaints.
- Drive leadership development, succession planning, optimize manpower planning, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with Product, Risk, IT, Operations, and other teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA/Postgraduate degree preferred.
- More than 15 years of experience in Retail Banking.
- Minimum 5 years of proven track record in a senior leadership role in a mid-sized Bank.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of branch banking products and operations.
- Strong regulatory and compliance knowledge.
