Quality Manager

Role Overview: As a Manager of QC&QA at our company, your primary focus will be on core quality control, assurance, and fabrication inspection/testing activities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring rework reduction, maintaining product quality, process control, and effectively managing customer complaints. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) for each job and obtain customer approval. - Conduct incoming inspections to ensure all raw materials and purchased items meet specified requirements. - Coordinate with Production (PRO) and Project (PRJ) teams for in-process inspections. - Perform final product inspections, liaise with customers, and address any punch points promptly. - Maintain job documentation as per requirements and submit in a timely manner. - Oversee equipment calibration and ensure proper maintenance. - Conduct vendor inspections and manage vendor quality ratings. - Motivate and train team members for effective Quality Management System (QMS) implementation. - Lead continual improvement initiatives with the team. Qualifications Required: - Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical (BE Mech). - Essential Knowledge: - Familiarity with various grades of steel and metals. - Knowledge of inspection/testing methods, especially in welding. - Understanding of process standards like welding, blasting, and painting. - Calibration procedures and record-keeping. - Vendor evaluation process. - Essential Skills: - Strong leadership abilities. - Proficiency in interpreting fabrication drawings. - Excellent analytical, reporting, and visualization skills. - Proficient in English communication (speaking, reading, writing). - Effective communication skills. - Experience: - Minimum 7-10 years in a similar industry/product with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
