QA Engineer / Senior QA Engineer

As a Software Quality Assurance Manual Tester with 4 to 8 years of experience, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Demonstrating a proven record of test strategy and planning, STLC, deployment, defect tracking, and test harness. - Exhibiting a high degree of initiative with a passion for learning technology. - Utilizing strong hands-on experience in programming languages such as PHP, React Native JavaScript, HTML, CSS. - Demonstrating competence in API testing using Rest Assured and Postman. - Conducting performance testing with relevant automation and monitoring tools like JMeter and Load Runner. - Creating and executing scale tests, performance tests, and longevity tests. - Applying testing experience on cloud-based platforms and integrating testing using CI/CD pipelines. - Working with at least one MYSQL database and NoSQL DB like Cosmos DB, Cassandra, MongoDB. - Possessing a strong fundamental understanding of network topology, the TCP/IP stack, load balancing methods, and deployment architecture. - Having experience with tools like GIT Hub, Maven, HP ALM, Jira, Jenkins, and code coverage tools. - Exposure to project sizing and defining timelines, with knowledge of Platforms like Windows, UNIX, Mainframe. Additionally, you will work under the direction of the Game QA Lead to provide test support for experienced game designers, artists, and engineers. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing daily smoke tests of game builds using the build computer and install scripts. - Developing and writing test plans for existing and new features, becoming familiar with project design by closely reading project documentation and collaborating with the team of game developers. - Verifying that identified bugs are fixed in the database and identifying and logging new issues that occur in the HMD and tablet interface. - Building on your fundamental QA skills by learning specifics of game development QA for mobile devices, VR headsets, and experimental technology. - Engaging in continuous improvement of the QA process. - Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. - Keeping up-to-date with professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional societies. - Contributing to the team effort by achieving related results as needed.
