Job Description
As a Python Technical Lead, you will be responsible for driving the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions using Python and related technologies. This role will require hands-on coding, architectural decision-making, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. Your expertise as a strong engineer will be essential in guiding teams, mentoring developers, and ensuring technical excellence across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Technical Leadership:**
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, secure, and high-performance Python applications.
- Make strategic technology decisions and define coding standards, best practices, and development guidelines.
- Review code, provide technical direction, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- **Software Development:**
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code.
- Build APIs, microservices, backend systems, and automation tools.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- **Team Management & Collaboration:**
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, DevOps, and stakeholders.
- Break down complex requirements into actionable tasks and ensure timely delivery.
- **Architecture & System Design:**
- Design system components, data models, and integration patterns.
- Evaluate and implement frameworks, libraries, and tools.
- Ensure adherence to architectural principles and long-term technical vision.
- **DevOps & CI/CD:**
- Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines.
- Support containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- **Quality & Security:**
- Ensure code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and static analysis.
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 6-10+ years of professional experience in Python development.
- Strong expertise in frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency with Git, CI/CD tools, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience with asynchronous programming (AsyncIO, Celery) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make architectural decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading engineering teams or acting as a senior mentor.
- Exposure to machine learning, data engineering, or big data pipelines.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
