Job Description
As a Python Backend Developer at our company, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Python and modern frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, and Flask. You will be responsible for building and maintaining SDKs, developing clean and scalable RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, and ensuring the implementation of security best practices. Collaboration with frontend, DevOps, and product teams will be essential to deliver end-to-end features efficiently. Additionally, you will work on integrating external APIs and third-party services securely, optimizing backend performance, and writing automated tests to maintain high code quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and modern frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Flask).
- Build and maintain SDKs to support internal and external integrations.
- Develop clean, scalable, and reusable RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, and OWASP guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features.
- Integrate external APIs and third-party services efficiently and securely.
- Optimize backend performance, scalability, logging, and monitoring.
- Write automated tests and maintain high code quality through CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with client SMEs to translate existing workflows into maintainable backend services.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Python Developer specializing in backend systems.
- Hands-on experience with SDK design, development, and documentation.
- Strong knowledge of API development, versioning, and standards.
- Understanding of data modeling, multi-source data integration, and analytical data flows.
- Solid grasp of application security, including authentication, encryption, and security testing.
- Experience with Python frameworks, databases, CI/CD, caching, asynchronous processing, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with message brokers and event-driven architecture.
- Strong analytical skills with complex Excel models.
