Job Description
As a Purchase and Logistics Coordinator, your role will involve handling material procurement, coordinating logistics activities, and managing inventory effectively. Here are the key responsibilities you will be expected to fulfill:
- Handling material procurement based on organizational requirements
- Identifying and cultivating relationships with new vendors and suppliers
- Negotiating price, quality, and delivery terms with vendors
- Preparing and processing Purchase Orders (PO) accurately
- Maintaining meticulous purchase records and documentation
- Ensuring timely follow-up with suppliers to track order status
In terms of logistics, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating the dispatch and transportation of goods
- Planning both inward and outward logistics operations
- Tracking shipments closely to ensure on-time delivery
- Collaborating with transporters and warehouse teams for smooth operations
- Managing billing, invoices, and Goods Receipt Note (GRN) processing
Furthermore, you will be overseeing inventory management and coordination by:
- Monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory
- Coordinating effectively with the production and store departments
- Ensuring proper inventory control and generating accurate reports
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities
- Knowledge of procurement processes and logistics operations
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel or ERP software
Qualifications required for this position include:
- Graduation degree (B.Com/BBA preferred)
- 1-4 years of relevant experience in Purchase and Logistics
Additionally, the compensation for this role ranges from 22,000.00 to 28,000.00 per month, with benefits such as health insurance and Provident Fund. The work location for this position is in person.
