Job Description

As a Project Planner, your role involves the following responsibilities: - Responsible for generating project documents such as project plan, work breakdown structure, overall and detailed schedule, raising purchase requests in SAP system, progress reports, and presentations during management reviews and execution under the guidance of the Project Control Manager. - Prepare detailed L-2, L-3 schedules using software packages such as MS Project and rigorously monitor project implementation. This includes preparing the master schedule, aligning functional schedules for procurement and receipts with the overall schedule, collecting data for scheduling, developing network logic, analyzing actual vs. scheduled progress, forecasting, trend analysis, and resource planning. - Monitor critical path and overall schedule daily, prepare catch-up plans, look-ahead plans based on inputs, and report to the Project Control Manager. - Prepare progress measurement system procedures, carry out project progress updates at stipulated intervals, and support the Project Control Team. - Highlight resource constraints affecting project progress and identify the need for schedule revisions, alerting the Project Control Manager and carrying out revisions as necessary. - Prepare the Project Completion Booklet post-project completion and closure. Additionally, you will: - Coordinate cross-functional discussions, identify critical activities and required supports for different functions, and facilitate project progress. - Provide planning-related input in preparing extension of time requests to clients. Key qualifications include: - Experience in planning cycles in middle/large-sized projects from concept to execution at the shop floor and dispatch. - Completion of a minimum of one project cycle as a planner. - Hands-on experience with MS Project/Primavera is a plus. - Exposure to planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling functions for entire projects, including resource planning, recovery/crash planning. - Strong analytical skills, including monitoring and tracking project progress, attending and scheduling meetings, and meeting all project planning requirements and deliverables. - Effective communication with managers, supervisors, and team members. - Analyzing technical drawings, providing material estimates, ensuring projects are completed on time, and multitasking effectively. - Sound understanding of safety protocols, ability to focus under pressure, and meet deadlines. - Increasing project team members' awareness of project milestones, main durations, and critical paths. - Operationally managing the project Planning Team, providing feedback, and lessons learned to improve planning scheduling methods. - Reviewing engineering drawings from a manufacturability perspective, developing work planning procedures, extracting scope of work, preparing BOQ, and reviewing project procurement status with extensive follow-up.
