Job Description
As a Production Support Engineer Java at Idox in Pune, Maharashtra, your role involves handling production support by investigating issues through Java code, Splunk logs, and development tools to ensure quick issue resolution. You will have additional responsibilities of handling development production support and will work closely with an international team of Developers and QA professionals. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Understand support cases raised by the support team, ask pertinent questions, and provide solutions effectively.
- Hands-on experience with the functional aspects of the product to provide development support.
- Debug and troubleshoot codebase, fix bugs, and write optimum Oracle DB scripts.
- Work with databases, write basic SQL queries, and understand Rest API and integration of third-party APIs.
- Investigate client-side code issues and stay updated with the latest functionalities released in the product.
- Collaborate effectively with the support team, update JIRA regularly, and involve necessary stakeholders when required.
- Proficient in using IDE for Java development, SQL developer, developer tools, and reading Splunk logs.
- Attend customer meetings to provide quick assistance or gain a deeper understanding of issues.
- Handle Dev Ops responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Strong development skills in Core Java Fundamentals, Spring MVC/Struts, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, Oracle, Extjs, Jsp, Servlets, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, SVN, GitLab.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with effective verbal and written communication.
Required Skills:
- Understanding existing code, testing, and debugging skills.
- Database knowledge, understanding of Agile methodologies, reading Splunk logs, and familiarity with development tools.
- Knowledge of the Document Management domain.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in English for facilitating team and customer meetings, tactful communication of sensitive information, and documenting information on JIRA for alignment.
