Job Description
Role Overview:
As a highly skilled FAB Expert - Process Engineer at AECOM, you will lead and optimize process engineering efforts for semiconductor fabrication FAB facilities. Your deep expertise in semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment selection, and process flow optimization will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving innovative solutions for process efficiency and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine process workflows for semiconductor fabrication utilities including Bulk Gases, Specialty Gases, UPW, DIW, ETPs, ZLD, Chemical Storage, and Supply System.
- Identify and mitigate process bottlenecks through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assess and recommend equipment for semiconductor utility systems based on process needs.
- Collaborate with vendors for equipment selection, installation, and validation.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations such as SEMI, ISO, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.
- Work with regulatory bodies and internal teams to meet safety and environmental requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and facility planners for efficient utility layout designs.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, support training initiatives, and prepare technical documentation.
- Support feasibility studies, cost analysis, and risk assessments for FAB projects.
- Assist in commissioning qualification and validation (CQV) of FAB processes.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Ph.D. in semiconductor process engineering is a plus.
- 15 years of experience in semiconductor fabrication process engineering or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with semiconductor utility design including Bulk Gases, Specialty Gases, UPW, DIW, ETPs, ZLD, Chemical Storage, and Supply System.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and experience with process modeling and simulation tools.
- Proficiency in software tools like AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and other facility planning tools.
- Familiarity with process control methodologies, SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing.
- Understanding of factory automation, Industry 4.0, and digital twin concepts is desirable.
