Job Description

As a Pre-Sales Engineer at our company, your role will involve identifying requirements and business opportunities from customer/partner meetings. You will develop project technology strategies by understanding key client objectives, diagnosing and mapping client requirements, articulating solution risks and barriers, recommending project approaches, preparing time and cost estimates, and planning the full project life cycle. Your responsibilities will also include preparing and delivering business value solutions for customers. This will involve proposal writing, presentations, and conducting proof-of-concept to showcase technical feasibility when necessary. You will need to have experience in the IT industry as a pre-sales professional, with a solid knowledge of network best practices. A thorough understanding of server, storage, cloud, virtualization, hyper-converged infrastructure, and virtual desktop infrastructure is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Identify requirements and business opportunities from customer/partner meetings - Develop project technology strategies based on client objectives - Diagnose and map client requirements - Articulate solution risks and barriers - Recommend project approaches - Prepare time and cost estimates - Plan the full project life cycle - Prepare and deliver business value solutions for customers - Write proposals and make presentations - Conduct proof-of-concept demonstrations - Understand main industries' infrastructure requirements - Propose technical solutions and oversee technology selection - Estimate resources required for proposed solutions - Complete technical documentation and collaborate with HQ team - Support partner's technical and presales personnel Qualifications Required: - Experience in IT industry as a pre-sales professional - Solid knowledge of network best practices - Understanding of server, storage, cloud, virtualization, hyper-converged infrastructure, and virtual desktop infrastructure - Good knowledge of virtualization, hyper-converged infrastructure, and cloud computing - Familiarity with mainstream virtualization or hyper-converged solutions (e.g., Vmware, Simplivity, Nutanix) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to troubleshoot technical issues involving Sangfor products - Certifications for Sangfor products or other relevant certifications (e.g., Vmware VCP or VCAP, Certified Solution Architect from AWS or Azure) preferred - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Strong desire to learn and grow technical and sales skills In addition to the qualifications and responsibilities outlined above, any other ad-hoc duties as required or assigned will also be part of your role.
