Job Description
As a Pre-Sales Solution Engineer in India, your role involves:
- Being the main point of contact for Customer contacts during the evaluation process
- Conducting product demonstrations for qualified leads and in support of marketing activities such as events or webinars
- Taking ownership of Requests for Proposal (RFP), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Proof of Concept (PoC) success criteria documents, PoC closure, and other necessary documentation
- Ensuring alignment on processes and documents with the customer/prospect
- Leading the technical win phases of all active opportunities
- Understanding Customer domain and database schema
- Providing OLAP and Reporting solutions
- Collaborating closely with customers to understand and resolve environment, OLAP cube, or reporting related issues
- Coordinating with the solutioning team for the execution of PoC as per the success plan
- Generating enhancement requests or identifying requests for new features on behalf of customers or hot prospects
Qualifications for this role include:
- 3 to 6 years of experience in Pre-Sales of software or analytics products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with OLAP tools or Microsoft Analysis Services (MSAS)
- Knowledge of data engineering, data warehouse, ETL, Hadoop ecosystem, AWS, Azure, GCP Cluster and processing
- Experience with Tableau, MicroStrategy, or any other BI tool
- Proficiency in Hive QL, Spark SQL, PLSQL, TSQL, and SQL programming or MDX queries
- Working knowledge of Linux
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript would be a plus
- Experience in handling RFPs or Questionnaires from Customers
- Ability to handle NDA, Success Criteria, Project closure, and other Documentation
- Willingness to travel or relocate as per business requirements
