Power BI Developer

As a Power BI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing scalable BI solutions to provide actionable insights through Power BI and Excel-based reporting. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and deploying Power BI dashboards and reports - Demonstrating expertise in SQL based data models and queries - Creating advanced Excel reports and visualizations using pivot tables, Power Pivot, and cube functions - Building and maintaining OLAP cube connections for Excel-based analysis - Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions - Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting systems - Staying current with BI trends and recommending tools and techniques to enhance reporting capabilities Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field - 2+ years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or analytics - Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, visualization) - Proficiency in SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning - Proficiency in Excel skills including pivot tables, Power Pivot, cube formulas, and OLAP integration - Familiarity with SharePoint for supporting existing reports and converting them to Power BI - Experience working with large datasets and complex data environments - Excellent communication skills - Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git/SVN Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) - Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake) - Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis - Certification in Power BI, Excel, or related technologies This job requires a strategic mindset and strong technical skills in Power BI, SQL, and Excel to deliver effective BI solutions and reports.
