Job Description
As an Operations Manager at CurioBoat, you will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing day-to-day operations at CurioBoat centers and partner venues. You will be responsible for managing facilitators, scheduling, partner communication, resource allocation, logistics, and ensuring a top-notch customer experience. Your ability to balance structure with creativity in a fast-growing educational start-up environment will be key to success in this role. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Develop and oversee the Curio programme offering, such as STEM, LEGO, Multi-Sports rotations, age-group structuring, and curriculum partner coordination.
- Manage and build relationships with partner venues, schools, preschools, and community clubs to host Curio classes, negotiate terms, ensure venue readiness, and manage schedules.
- Recruit, train, and manage facilitators and coaches to meet CurioBoats standards for child-friendly delivery, safety, engagement, and curriculum fidelity.
- Establish and monitor operational processes, including class scheduling, roll-out across neighborhoods, facilitator allocations, backup planning, and equipment supplies management.
- Ensure safety, quality, and child-friendly settings by verifying venue security, training facilitators in child-centric class delivery, and upholding risk-mitigation and behavioral standards.
- Monitor program performance, track attendance, retention, and feedback from children, parents, partner venues, and facilitate continuous improvement.
- Support expansion into new neighborhoods, assess venues, coordinate launch logistics, ensure facility readiness, staffing, and marketing support.
- Budgeting and cost-control to optimize profitability while ensuring quality, including monitoring costs of equipment, venue hire, facilitator payroll, and reporting insights on key metrics.
Additionally, you will spend 30-40% of your time teaching and facilitating the Curio program and other programs. You will collaborate with marketing teams, improve curriculum, come up with new lesson plans, participate in teacher recruitment and training drives, and assist in launching new products and neighborhoods.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 0-1 years of relevant experience in operations, preferably in education, sports, or children's activity sectors.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, scheduling tools, and basic reporting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with various stakeholders effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality programs, ensure safety, child-friendly settings, and drive growth.
- Location flexibility with travel across Delhi NCR neighborhoods and partner sites.
