Job Description
As an OE Technical Account Manager at Apollo Tyres Ltd, your role will involve leading the RFQ project development process (PV & 2/3 W) till SOP as per RFQ timelines. You will act as the single point of technical contact, representing R&D, providing continuous onsite support to OEMs. Your effective communication skills will be crucial in liaising with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Act as the primary contact from Apollo Tyres for Regional OEMs R&D/Engineering teams.
- Develop strong business relationships with OEM R&D/Engineering, Testing, and Purchase teams.
- Lead and coordinate understanding of new RFQs and explain design proposals.
- Assist in pre-screening, sample submission, and other coordination activities with OEMs.
- Facilitate coordination discussions with design and test teams from OEMs.
- Gather intelligence from OEMs regarding future projects and anticipated changes in OEM strategy.
- Provide periodic status reports and escalate high-priority tasks for timely resolution.
- Coordinate with QA/SCM teams for test sample submission, PPAP Audits, etc., to respective OEMs.
- Manage OE Customer portal effectively.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum 10-12 years of experience in the relevant field.
- Previous work experience with a reputable Tyre/Vehicle manufacturer in OE coordinator or OE Customer service domain.
- Educational background in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or Rubber/Polymer Technology.
In this role, your knowledge of Vehicle Dynamics, Tyre performance needs, Tyre Design/Manufacturing processes, and statutory/regulatory/testing norms related to Vehicles/Tyres will be essential. Your experience with OEM business development systems and processes will be valuable. Additionally, your communication, networking, and negotiation skills, along with proficiency in English and local languages as per business requirements, will play a crucial role. Your analytical, objection handling, and soft skills will also be beneficial in fulfilling your responsibilities effectively.
