Job Description
As a Network Support Engineer at Sikich, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for maintaining and optimizing clients' network environments. Your deep understanding of network infrastructure, including Azure Networking services, will be crucial in resolving complex network issues and providing advanced customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level technical support for clients, addressing complex network issues such as configurations, performance optimization, and connectivity problems. Collaborate with team members to resolve advanced network-related issues.
- Take ownership of escalated network issues, analyze them in-depth, and efficiently resolve complex problems using your advanced technical expertise.
- Create and maintain detailed records of client interactions, network issues, and resolutions in our ticketing system.
- Identify potential network issues, recommend improvements, and implement proactive solutions to enhance performance and security, minimizing downtime and data loss risks.
- Lead and participate in network projects, including upgrades, configurations, and performance enhancements, ensuring successful project delivery and minimal disruption to clients' operations.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of root cause analysis and provide effective solutions to complex technical network challenges, acting as a resource for the team in tackling intricate problems.
- Keep clients informed about the status of their network issues, provide timely updates, and adhere to company policies, procedures, and SLAs to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
Qualifications Required:
- 5+ years of experience in providing end user and infrastructure technical support.
- A degree in IT or related fields, or equivalent experience. Certifications like Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert or Cisco Certified Network Professional are a plus.
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting network systems, with experience in technologies such as Fortinet, Aruba, Cisco, and SonicWall. Knowledgeable in advanced network concepts, server operating systems, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users. Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
- Relevant IT certifications demonstrating advanced technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and leadership capabilities.
- Be flexible and adaptive in a dynamic IT environment.
