Network Engineer

As an IT Network Engineer at Fastenal India, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and monitoring network administration and engineering practices related to network security, routing protocols, and switching technologies. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: - Having good experience in maintaining and monitoring network administration and engineering practices in areas of network security, routing protocols, and switching technologies. - Analyzing, developing, testing, optimizing, and delivering solutions to enhance processes and Infrastructure as code automation practices with quality. - Ensuring integrity and security of networking through regular patch management. - Participating in disaster recovery tests and performing technical reviews of deploy guides, code, and documentations. - Providing innovative solutions to complex technical problems and driving towards resolutions. - Focusing on deepening expertise aligned to business needs, conducting technical trainings, and mentoring junior team members. - Communicating effectively across IT teams, providing support on critical network systems in an on-call rotation, and ensuring adherence to standards and policies of the organization. To qualify for this position, you should have: - Full-time Bachelor's degree. - 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in network administration. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - High motivation, discipline, and self-direction. - Strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities. - Strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills. - Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to lead projects. - Willingness to work flexible schedules, including on-call rotations. Preferred qualifications include: - Strong understanding of Networking firewall, Routing, Switching, and wireless technologies. - Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewall, Cisco routing and switching, and Meraki wireless. - Experience with Azure Networking is a plus. - Scripting knowledge in Python, Ansible, or Terraform will be an added advantage. - Certifications such as CCNP or PCNSE are good to have.
