Job Description
As a Network Infrastructure Systems Engineer, your role involves implementing and maintaining network infrastructure systems, configuring and administering Cisco routing and switching equipment, managing F5 load balancers, administering Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IP address management systems, troubleshooting complex network issues, performing regular network maintenance and upgrades, monitoring network performance, documenting network architecture, configurations, and procedures, implementing network security measures, collaborating with multi-functional teams, and providing technical guidance to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain network infrastructure systems
- Configure and administer Cisco routing and switching equipment
- Manage F5 load balancers to ensure application availability and performance
- Administer Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IP address management systems
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and implement appropriate solutions
- Perform regular network maintenance and planned upgrades
- Monitor network performance and conduct capacity planning
- Document network architecture, configurations, and procedures
- Implement network security measures and standard processes
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 6+ years of experience OR Diploma with 12+ years of relevant experience
- Previous or current CCNP certification
- Proven experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies
- Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining F5 load balancers
- Proficiency with Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions
- Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
- Experience with network security concepts and implementation
In addition to the technical qualifications, soft skills are vital for this role including excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, strong communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organizational and time management skills, critical thinking capabilities, team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and adaptability to changing priorities and technologies.
