Job Description
As a Software Engineer at CGI, you will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
- Application designing, development, testing, support, enhancements, and bug-fixing.
- Interacting with functional and technical representatives of project teams to understand business functionalities, technical modules, integration mechanism, and data sources.
- Preparing test plans and conducting various types of testing using automated testing frameworks like Junit, Nunit, Mock, etc.
- Possessing a medium level of Database Programming skills.
- Having good knowledge of middleware messaging platforms like IBM WebSphere MQ, JMS, etc.
- Familiarity with version control tools, preferably GIT.
- Engaging in communication and coordination activities.
- Demonstrating strong knowledge in C# programming language.
- Developing experience of Service Oriented Architecture using Micro Services, WCF, Web API, and RESTful Services in C#.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Entity Framework and Design Patterns, SOLID principles.
- Basic understanding of Database Programming skills.
- Knowledge of middleware messaging platforms and basic Linux/Unix environment.
- Willingness to learn and work on diverse technologies.
- Thorough understanding of the complete Software Development Lifecycle.

- Exposure to the financial domain.
