As a MySQL Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining MySQL databases for applications and reporting. You will write, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views. Ensuring database performance, security, and scalability will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will handle data migration, backup, recovery, and replication activities while collaborating with application developers and DevOps teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain MySQL databases for applications and reporting
- Write, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views
- Ensure database performance, security, and scalability
- Perform database tuning, indexing, and query optimization
- Handle data migration, backup, recovery, and replication activities
- Collaborate with application developers and DevOps teams
- Monitor database health and troubleshoot issues in production
- Maintain database documentation and follow best practices
Qualifications Required:
- Hands-on experience with MySQL database development
- Strong proficiency in SQL, joins, subqueries, and indexing
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization
- Knowledge of database design, normalization, and data modeling
- Familiarity with backup, recovery, and replication concepts
- Basic understanding of Linux commands and database security
- Experience working with application teams and version control tools (Git)
