Job Description
Role Overview:
As an Infrastructure Architect at Kyndryl, you will play a crucial role in uniting and guiding stakeholders from clients, governance, project executives, and vendors. You will be involved in understanding project requirements, devising technical solutions, and ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery. Your technical leadership will be key in consulting with clients, designing solutions, and overseeing implementation. This role offers opportunities to work with various cloud platforms, collaborate with subject matter experts, and grow your creativity and flexibility in problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in IT architecture or consulting roles, with at least 3+ years focused on Azure
- Strong expertise in VMware modernization, including knowledge of Azure VMware Solution (AVS), vSphere, vSAN, and NSX
- Proven experience in re-platforming and refactoring legacy applications for Azure, with familiarity in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Services, and other Azure PaaS services
- Demonstrated experience in designing and building Azure landing zones, utilizing Azure Policy, Azure Blueprints, and Azure Security Center for secure multi-account architectures
- Extensive experience with cloud migration projects, involving planning, execution, and tools such as Azure Migrate, ASR (Azure Site Recovery), and database migration tools
- Proficiency in key Azure services (VMs, Storage, Networking, Active Directory, Functions, Cosmos DB, etc.) and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform
- Strong understanding of Azure security services and compliance frameworks, including IAM policies, RBAC, and data protection best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications Required:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or other relevant Azure certifications are highly preferred
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration within Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud strategies, including on-premises integrations and multi-cloud setups
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
