Role Overview:
As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Liquid Cooling, you will be responsible for contributing to the design and development of Coolant Distribution Units (CDU) used in data center liquid cooling systems. Your role will involve working on new product development projects, from concept design to production release, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across different regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and development of liquid cooling systems, including Rear Door Heat Exchangers and Coolant Distribution Units.
- Participate in concept creation, component design, and detailed modeling using PTC Creo.
- Work through the NPDI process to release complete product documentation using PLM tools such as Oracle PD Cloud or Windchill.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance design performance, cost, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and validation, including data analysis and issue resolution.
- Integrate feedback from test results, suppliers, and manufacturing to improve design quality and reduce complexity.
- Maintain documentation accuracy including BOMs, drawings, and change records.
- Participate in cost, quality, and manufacturability improvement efforts.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in mechanical product design and development.
- Proficiency in PTC Creo and understanding of Model-Based Definition.
- Familiarity with PLM systems such as Oracle PD Cloud or Windchill.
- Understanding of thermal systems, fluid mechanics, and component selection.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in global, multi-disciplinary teams.
