As a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at EY, you will be responsible for driving functional and regression automation testing projects independently. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing and executing manual test cases for functional, regression, and exploratory testing. - Developing and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright with C#, Python, or TypeScript. - Performing ad-hoc and exploratory testing to identify edge cases and usability issues. - Automating functional, regression, and smoke tests for web and API layers and providing accurate estimation. - Documenting test results, defects, and steps to reproduce clearly in test management tools. - Collaborating with developers and product teams to ensure requirements clarity and test coverage. - Tracking and reporting quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and automation ROI. - Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. - Optimizing automation scripts for scalability and maintainability. - Mentoring junior QA engineers and promoting best practices in testing. Qualifications for this role include: - 58 years of experience in QA with strong exposure to manual and automation testing. - Deep understanding of SDLC and experience working in Agile/SAFe environments. - Proficiency in Playwright automation using C#, Python, or TypeScript. - Proven experience in REST/SOAP API testing using tools like Postman and the ability to automate them. - Hands-on experience with SQL queries, including knowledge of joins and views. - Experience in testing both Mobile and Web applications. - Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and test management. - Strong experience in GIT commands/activities. - Ability to perform DB Testing, query writing, and data retrieval during automation integration. - Understanding of security testing principles and tools. Nice to have skills for this role include: - Experience with JSON, jQuery, and XML. - Knowledge of Node package manager, cucumber, JavaScript, and Gherkin language. - Experience in cloud services and Power Apps/Power Automate. - Experience in Accessibility, UI/UX testing, and Localization testing. - Knowledge of Jmeter/Azure load test or Playwright Artillery IO. - Utilizing GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI tools for script development. - Proficiency with generative AI technology for creating test scenarios, synthesizing test data, and performing data validation. - Experience with AI model validation and testing AI applications, agents, chatbots. - Knowledge of AI-based testing tools for predictive defect analysis and leveraging AI for smarter automation.
