Job Description
As an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (QS) Manager, your role involves leading cost estimation, budgeting, and project cost monitoring for residential developments. Your main responsibilities include:
- Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, rate analysis, and project budgets for residential and commercial projects.
- Conduct cost planning and value engineering for project cost optimization.
- Review and certify contractor/vendor bills, work measurements, and variations.
- Monitor budget vs. actual project costs and prepare detailed cost reports.
- Coordinate with Project Execution, Procurement, and Finance teams for efficient cost control.
- Track material consumption and wastage to ensure project cost efficiency.
- Support in estimating quantities and validating work progress at different project stages.
- Evaluate change orders and variations with proper documentation and approval.
- Provide regular MIS reports and project cost summaries to management.
Key skills and competencies required for this role include:
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, estimation, and cost management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
- Sound understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project execution methods.
- Analytical and detail-oriented with strong numerical accuracy.
