Job Description
As an experienced and dynamic Manager at Avalara in Pune, India, you will oversee and lead three critical teams: the Partner Engagement Desk Specialists, the Inside Strategic Alliance Managers (iSAMs), and the Inside Strategic Partnership Managers (iSPMs). Your key role will involve ensuring that partners have a seamless experience engaging with the partner program while nurturing existing partners to drive revenue and growth.
**Managerial Responsibilities:**
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Partner Engagement Desk Specialists, iSAMs, and iSPMs.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the teams.
- Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategies for partner engagement and growth.
- Efficiently allocate resources to meet team demands and ensure operational efficiency.
**Partner Engagement Desk Responsibilities:**
- Support Partner Engagement Desk Specialists in becoming experts on the partner program and Partner Portal.
- Oversee onboarding and education of new partners.
- Facilitate communication between team and various business units.
- Ensure internal processes are well documented and updated for partner experience optimization.
**Inside Strategic Alliance Manager (iSAM) Team Responsibilities:**
- Lead iSAM team in nurturing relationships with partners to drive revenue.
- Define and track key performance metrics for the team.
**Inside Strategic Partnership Manager (iSPM) Team Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with SPM portfolio leaders on setting responsibilities for iSPMs.
- Coach iSPMs in account planning, performance analysis, and partner relationship management.
- Coordinate feedback loop to refine processes.
**Qualifications:**
- Support North American-based partner set and working hours.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience in managing teams in customer-facing roles.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Project management and issue triaging skills.
- Experience with PRM, CRM, and issue tracking applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
