Job Description

Role Overview: Join the Risk Management Group Market Risk team at Macquarie as a Manager within the Market division, which is part of the second line of defence in the company's risk management framework. Your role will involve assessing, analyzing, monitoring, and managing the firm's risk resulting from changes in market conditions. You will be responsible for preparing various reporting packs for the Board and Market Risk Senior Management. Effective management skills will be essential as you collaborate with teams globally to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. Additionally, you will oversee and deliver market risk activities such as framework enhancements, user access reviews, reports, and KPI monitoring. Managing a small team, you will provide leadership, oversight, direction, and upskilling opportunities to enhance team performance. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare multiple reporting packs for the Board and Market Risk Senior Management. - Liaise with global teams to ensure quality and timely delivery. - Track and deliver market risk activities including framework enhancements, user access reviews, and various reports. - Manage KPI monitoring and provide leadership, oversight, direction, and upskilling opportunities to the team. Qualifications Required: - Hold a tertiary qualification in financial markets. - Previous working experience in Market Risk is preferred. - Minimum of 7 years' experience in reporting and data analysis. - Minimum of 4 years' experience in people management. - Ability to critically analyze processes, procedures, and policies to propose and implement enhancements. - Strong written, presentation, and communication skills. - Proficiency in using data visualization tools such as Power BI and Alteryx is desirable.
