Manager Deal & Cash Ops

As an experienced Investment Accountant at Oaktree, you will be responsible for translating deal documents into accurate accounting records that align with accounting standards. Your role involves identifying and recording investment proceeds, processing deal lifecycle events, and managing cash movements through complex legal entity structures. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to fund and close private deal transactions within tight deadlines, while also coordinating with investment teams, auditors, and counterparties. Key Responsibilities: - Translate deal documents into accounting records - Identify and record investment proceeds accurately - Process deal lifecycle events from an investment accounting perspective - Account for cash movements through complex legal entity structures - Coordinate with stakeholders to fund and close private deal transactions - Respond to inquiries from various parties - Forecast cash balances and prevent overdrafts - Identify, measure, and mitigate process risk - Implement process improvements - Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders Qualifications Required: - 911 years of relevant experience in asset management or financial services - Experience in Investment Accounting and Operations with Alternative Investments - Proficiency in Advent Geneva and Global World Investor - Strong Excel skills including data analysis and pivot tables - Knowledge of SharePoint, Power BI, SQL, and VBA is a plus - Track record of process improvement - Familiarity with complex fund and deal entity structures Oaktree is committed to diversity and equal opportunity employment, making decisions based on merit rather than factors such as race, gender, or disability.
