Lead Software Engineer/Architect - Java Full Stack with Angular/React

Role Overview:

As a Lead Software Engineer/Architect in the Mastercard Services team, you will be responsible for designing and developing secure, reliable, and scalable solutions for globally distributed customer-facing products. You will work closely with development teams and stakeholders to promote agile development and create a culture of technical excellence and innovation. Your role will involve researching, creating, and evaluating technical solution alternatives using current and upcoming technologies and frameworks. As a hands-on leader, you will collaborate by writing interfaces, tests, and architecture fitness functions to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. Additionally, you will drive architectural design decisions, prioritize initiatives, mentor engineers, and contribute to improving the overall craftsmanship of Software Engineering.

Qualifications Required:

• 9-12 years of overall career experience in Software Development
• Excellent expertise in Java Backend
• Experience with React or Angular is a must
• Experience in Architecture & High-Level Design
• Hands-on experience in designing solutions and full stack development in modern technologies for large enterprise platforms
• Proficiency in coding Microservices in Java, building UI/UX using frameworks such as React, Angular, spring boot, RDBMS, Oracle, and event-driven architecture
• Experience deploying applications using CI/CD pipelines, docker containers, Kubernetes to Cloud platforms is preferred
• Knowledge of Pivotal Cloud Foundry or other cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred
• Ability to design and implement solutions focusing on non-functional concerns like Performance, Scalability, Availability, etc.
• Strong communication skills to maintain internal and external alignment
• Familiarity with industry trends and development methodologies
• Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment
• Skills to promote and coach teams on full stack development and end-to-end service ownership
• Ability to drive trade-off discussions based on value drivers
• Experience in automation and operational testing practices
• Proficient in agile and modern SDLC practices
