Lead - SCADA

Role Overview: As a Design Lead Solar (SCADA & Telecom) at the company, your main objective is to review and execute engineering activities related to instrumentation and automation of Solar PV Power Plants. You will be responsible for facilitating the development of BIM 3D Models for Wind/Solar PV/BESS Power Plants, coordinating with various departments, and providing support throughout the engineering cycle from pre-bid to commissioning and warranty periods. Additionally, you will lead a team of Design Engineers and Draughts Persons to ensure timely delivery, budget management, and high-quality engineering. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure timely delivery of engineering drawings and documents, aligned with project schedule - Review drawings by Design Engineers & Draughts Persons, checking design & sizing calculations, and obtaining client approvals - Review vendor deliverables related to engineering - Manage multitasking and deliver multiple tasks on time - Estimate and plan man-hour requirements - Review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and submit to contracts team - Coordinate with multiple disciplines for inter-departmental checks - Provide support and clarifications to the Site Execution team - Inspect equipment from vendors and provide technical clarifications - Coordinate with Operations team and inform design specifications for approval - Check deliverables such as Instrumentation and JB Location Layout, Control Room Layout, F&G Location Layout, etc. - Provide support to Electrical AC/DC, Civil/Structural for reviewing Vendor drawings - Submit man-hour requirements for design and drawing reviews Qualification Required: - Minimum Qualification: BE Electronics Instrumentation Engineering / ICE (Instrumentation and Control Engineering) or M. Tech. (Instrumentation or Automation) - Experience: 7-10 years in design aspects of Wind/Solar PV/BESS Power Plants or Power Distribution Projects Technical Expertise: You should have knowledge of Wind/Solar/BESS plant design, control and monitoring systems, PLC/SCADA system, Cyber Security requirements, power plant control systems, integration with national grid network, communication protocols, tracker control system, electrical and mechanical equipment. Detailed knowledge of Wind/Solar PV/BESS Power Plants operation & control system, as well as understanding of national and international codes and standards, is required. Operating Network: Internally, you will collaborate with Head of Engineering, Section Heads, Design Engineers, Draughts Persons, Operations Team, Site Execution team, and Supply Chain Management team. Externally, you will engage with Clients, Consultants, and Vendors.
