Lead Data Engineer

Role Overview: As the Lead Data Engineer at Accordion, your primary responsibility will be the design, development, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of the core technology stack. This role requires deep expertise in data domain tools and technologies to create scalable, robust solutions that meet current and future client needs efficiently. You will assess existing architectures and propose enhancements to boost system performance in both on-premises and cloud-based environments. A successful candidate will possess substantial business acumen and a wide-ranging skill set in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing best practices. You must also exhibit excellent organizational abilities, critical thinking skills, and effective communication with cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with clients to comprehend their business requirements and formulate comprehensive business needs. - Develop end-to-end Business Intelligence frameworks, advising on the appropriate architecture (on-premises or cloud-based) and analytics solutions. - Collaborate with business and technology teams to steer solution development and ensure successful implementation. - Define KPIs and metrics aligned with organizational objectives in close coordination with business teams. - Work with Project Managers to devise and execute project plans, ensuring on-time delivery within specified timelines. - Generate standard reports and functional dashboards based on business needs to provide actionable insights. - Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer programs for junior developers, suggesting enhancements to elevate reporting solutions. - Stay inquisitive and proactive in acquiring knowledge of new tools and technologies to offer innovative solutions for clients. Qualifications Required: - An undergraduate degree (B.E/B.Tech.) from a tier-1 or tier-2 institution. - 6-9 years of relevant experience in the data and analytics domain. - Proficiency in SQL Server, encompassing SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS. - Sound comprehension of relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle, and exposure to at least one modern data warehouse platform such as Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake. - Hands-on experience with leading BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, DOMO, or Looker. - Strong familiarity with cloud platformseither Azure or AWSalong with knowledge of tools like Azure Data Factory, SQL Database, DevOps, Logic Apps, Analysis Services, or AWS Glue, Redshift, RDS, QuickSight. - Demonstrated initiative and innovation-driving capabilities. - Analytical mindset and a problem-solving orientation.
