Job Description

As a Lead Cyber Operations Analyst collaborating with Barclays, your role is crucial in supporting the organization to achieve its strategic objectives. You will be involved in identifying business requirements and solutions that address various business problems and opportunities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage security monitoring systems, including intrusive prevention and detection systems, to alert, detect, and block potential cyber security incidents. - Identify emerging cyber security threats, attack techniques, and technologies to detect/prevent incidents. - Analyze security information and event management systems to collect, correlate, and analyze security logs, events, and alerts. - Triage data loss prevention alerts to prevent sensitive data from being exfiltrated. - Manage cyber security incidents including remediation and driving closure. **Qualifications Required:** - Strong analytic skills with experience in the Chief Security Office. - Experience in cyber security, particularly in threat hunting or incident response. - Knowledge of security toolsets and scripting languages. - Excellent interpersonal skills for briefing, de-briefing, and presenting to senior executives. - Effective communication skills with clients, colleagues, and external vendors. - Time management and planning skills with experience working under pressure. - Highest standards of personal integrity, professional conduct, and ethics. - Incident, problem, and change management skills. **Additional Details:** This role may require familiarity with Financial Services regulatory landscape, formal accreditations such as CompTIA Security +, CISSP, CISM, proficiency in SIEM technologies, and incident response skills including PCAP Capture and Network Analysis.
