Job Description
Role Overview:
As a Networking Managed Services Engineer (L1) at NTT DATA, you will be an entry-level engineering role responsible for providing managed services to clients to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational. Your primary objective will be to proactively identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems to restore service to clients and ensure zero missed service level agreement conditions. You will focus on first-line support for standard and low complexity incidents and service requests. Additionally, you may contribute to project work as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor client infrastructure and solutions
- Identify problems and errors before or when they occur
- Investigate first-line incidents assigned and identify root causes
- Fulfill approved requests following agreed procedures
- Provide telephonic or chat support to clients when necessary
- Execute approved maintenance activities including patching and configuration changes
- Report and escalate incidents when required
- Ensure efficient and comprehensive resolutions of incidents and requests
- Identify opportunities for work optimization and automation
- Update existing knowledge articles or create new ones
- Contribute to project work as needed
- Implement and deliver Disaster Recovery functions and tests
- Perform any other related tasks as required
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology/Computing or demonstrated equivalent work experience
- CCNA or equivalent certification
- Certifications relevant to the services provided (carry additional weightage)
- Entry-level experience with troubleshooting and providing support in network/data center/systems/storage administration and monitoring services within a medium to large ICT organization
- Basic knowledge of management agents, redundancy concepts, and products within the supported technical domain
