Job Description

As an Assistant Manager/Store Manager for one of the Weekday's clients, your role will involve the following:

**Role Overview:**

You will be responsible for engaging with customers and providing detailed product descriptions to influence purchasing decisions. Additionally, driving jewellery sales through effective customer engagement and relationship-building will be a key aspect of your job. Addressing customer queries, ensuring grievance resolution, and maintaining follow-ups with customers to enhance retention will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining store cleanliness, safety, and customer-ready presentation, managing payment transactions, preparing merchandise for delivery, and contributing to team goals by supporting colleagues for collective success.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Prepare sales and customer service reports; analyze trends, complaints, and suggestions for improvement
  • Strengthen customer loyalty by retaining both new and existing clients
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Work on ERP systems and retail platforms (e.g., Magento, Ameo)

**Qualification Required:**

  • Bachelor's degree from a reputed university/college
  • Proficiency in MS Office; advanced Excel skills are a must
  • Strong understanding of retail store operations
  • Expertise in selling and customer service
  • Good knowledge of Jewellery (Gold, Diamond, Platinum, and Silver) is an added advantage
  • Familiarity with MIS reporting
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and regional languages
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Proficiency in 'Point of Sale' (POS) systems / ERP / SAP
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and spreadsheets
  • Minimum 45 years of relevant experience in front-end retail operations as an Assistant Manager / Store Manager
  • Preferably from an established retail brand
  • Experience in handling customer queries and grievance resolution

Please note that the salary range for this position is Rs ****** - Rs ******* (INR 8-10 LPA), and the job location is Chennai with flexibility to work across India. Additionally, you should be willing to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during festive or peak seasons while adhering to 9-hour shift schedules.
