Java AWS developer

As a Senior Java Developer at our company, you will be responsible for assisting in the refactoring of mainframe applications to Java-based cloud applications. Your role will involve participation in analysis, testing, and support of cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform Scripts. You will also be involved in data migration activities and implementation of automated test cases to ensure technical solutions meet expected outcomes and business objectives. Additionally, you will be expected to prepare standard operating procedures, document protocols, and provide tier-3 DevOps support for critical applications. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the refactoring of mainframe applications to Java-based cloud applications - Participate in analysis, testing, and support of refactored code within an agile/DevOps delivery model - Support Cloud Infrastructure provisioning using IaC Terraform Scripts - Assist in Data Migration activities - Implement automated test cases to ensure technical solutions meet expected outcomes - Prepare standard operating procedures, protocols, and system documentation - Provide tier-3 DevOps support for critical applications - Create solutions using a cloud-native toolchain for optimal uptime and business agility Qualifications Required: - Understanding of project management principles - Experience in Agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban) - Knowledge of Mainframe2Java Code conversion tools (Astadia, Heirloom, BlueAge is an advantage) - Understanding of mainframe legacy DB and programming solutions - Proficiency in core Java concepts (OOP, multithreading, exception handling) - Strong understanding of Java fundamentals (collections, generics, IO) - Expertise in Java frameworks like Spring (Core, MVC, Boot) - Understanding of technology integration - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities - Experience in Terraform (IaaC) and AWS Cloud Services - Knowledge in Test Automation and Test Scripts Please note that the candidate must have experience in AWS cloud development to be considered for this role.
